Why carry out Resilience Training?

Symptoms of work-related stress can arise when work demands exceed an individual’s resources or capacity. Building resilience reduces the likelihood of employees experiencing distress.  Just as exercise helps to build physical capacity, COPE’s Resilience Training helps managers and employees improve their capacity to respond and adapt in today’s stressful, fast-changing world, whilst enhancing self-confidence, wellbeing and productivity.

Our approach to Resilience Training

COPE’s Resilience Training – 0.5 day or 1 day course

  • Developing coping strategies and stress management techniques to improve performance under pressure.
  • Strategies for challenging negative thoughts and promoting positive thinking.
  • Dealing with difficult or challenging people/situations.
  • Enhancing individual and team performance.
  • Practical techniques for promoting resilience and preventing stress.

When should I carry out Resilience Training?

Resilience Training should be carried out in combination with preventative measures aimed at reducing the risk factors at source, starting with a Stress Audit.

Resilience Training can be delivered to help employees be better prepared to deal effectively with work challenges such as periods of organisational change, organisational restructures or particularly intensive periods of work.
