Forklift Truck Driver Assessments

Forklift truck driver assessments are designed specifically to screen employees who operate lift trucks, in order to identify any potential health problems that may impair their fitness to operate them.

The assessment will include a paper/online questionnaire, which will be reviewed by a fully trained and competent practitioner, followed by an assessment of the employee's health as per accepted medical standards.

Why conduct Forklift truck driver assessments?

Under HSE guidance Safety in Working with Lift Trucks 2000 it is recommended that all employees that are selected to operate lift trucks are screened.

Employees undergoing these assessments will require periodic reviews, the frequency of which will depend on risk, clinical need and HSE guidelines. Some employees that are identified as having new or worsening symptoms may require referral to our Occupational Health Physician.
