Occupational Health Technician

Self-employed Occupational Health Technician’s (OHT) Required


We are looking for experienced self-employed OHTs to deliver health surveillance clinics to our customers on an ad-hoc basis in the following areas:

·      East Midlands – candidates need to be willing to travel within Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire

·      Glasgow – currently a contract for 8 days to be delivered over the coming weeks

About you, you will:

·      Be an experienced and/or qualified OHT with ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience, however individuals with less experience may be considered;

·      Be self-employed and able to provide up to date insurance(s) as appropriate;

·      Have own car and full driving licence;

·      Have own laptop and mobile phone;

·      Have own health surveillance kit with evidence of ongoing calibration;

·      Have experience of carrying out the following and be able to provide up-to-date certification as appropriate: Spiro, Audio, skin assessments, vision screening, blood pressure screening, heart rate, height and weight measurements, MSK assessments, HAVS T1 and T2 questionnaires.

 

About the health surveillance clinics:

·      Some of the clinics will be planned well in advance, some may be more ad-hoc or to provide cover as required;

·      You must be able to work at least 1 day per week, however individuals with less frequent availability may also be considered;

·      You will be required to be on a customer site for a total of 7.5 hours per day (or 4 hours half day);

·      COPE will provide relevant training on COPE’s systems, policies and procedures.
