We are looking for an experienced self-employed or zero-hour OHT to deliver health surveillance clinics to our customers on an ad-hoc basis in the following area:
· East Midlands
(£15.00 per hour on a zero hour basis)
You will hold an Occupational Health Technician qualification with up to date training evidence in audiometry and spirometry.
You will have previous experience of working on site with a customer as you will be our COPE ambassador.
You will have excellent IT skills and be a great communicator. You will be quality driven and have excellent record keeping skills.
The role will be subject to satisfactory references, enhanced DBS and right to work checks.
You will be supported by a clinically qualified manager and a friendly head office support team.

About you, you will:
Be an experienced and/or qualified OHT with ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience, however individuals with less experience may be considered;
Be self-employed and able to provide up to date insurance(s) as appropriate;
Have own car and full driving licence;
Have own laptop and mobile phone;
Have own health surveillance kit with evidence of ongoing calibration;
Have experience of carrying out the following and be able to provide up-to-date certification as appropriate: Spiro, Audio, skin assessments, vision screening, blood pressure screening, heart rate, height and weight measurements, MSK assessments, HAVS T1 and T2 questionnaires.
About the health surveillance clinics:
Some of the clinics will be planned well in advance, some may be more ad-hoc or to provide cover as required;
You must ideally be able to work at least 1 day per week, however, individuals with less frequent availability may also be considered;
You will be required to be on a customer site for a total of 7.5 hours per day (or 4 hours half day);
COPE will provide relevant training on COPE’s systems, policies and procedures.
