Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions are one of the leading causes of workplace absence in the UK. Early access to physiotherapy can significantly reduce recovery times, support a faster return to work, and prevent short term issues from becoming long term problems.

COPE's physiotherapy service is delivered by our in-house team, overseen by our dedicated Physio & Ergonomics Lead — a qualified physiotherapist with extensive occupational health experience. We offer two delivery options to suit your organisation:

  • Clinic-Based Physiotherapy — employees are referred to a COPE-approved clinic, giving them convenient access to high quality physiotherapy treatment at a location near them, anywhere in the UK
  • Onsite Physiotherapy — for organisations who prefer on-site delivery, our physiotherapists can visit your site directly, gaining a first-hand understanding of your employees' working environment to inform more targeted, effective treatment

All physiotherapy assessments include a detailed report with clear recommendations, supporting both the employee's recovery and any ongoing case management through our occupational health team.

Poor workplace ergonomics can lead to discomfort, musculoskeletal disorders and long term health issues — all of which impact productivity, absence and employee wellbeing. COPE's ergonomics service helps organisations identify and address these risks before they become problems.

Our ergonomics assessments are carried out by our in-house team, overseen by our dedicated Physio & Ergonomics Lead, and cover:

  • Virtual DSE Workstation Assessments — a convenient, cost-effective option for home workers and office-based employees, conducted remotely by one of our ergonomics specialists
  • Face to Face DSE Workstation Assessments — an in-person assessment of the employee's workstation, identifying risks and providing tailored recommendations to improve comfort and reduce injury risk
  • Workplace Assessments — a broader evaluation of the working environment, identifying ergonomic risks across the workplace and recommending practical, cost-effective solutions
  • Vehicle Assessments — for employees whose role involves driving or operating vehicles, including train and tram drivers, our specialists assess the vehicle environment to identify postural and ergonomic risks

Every assessment includes a detailed written report with clear, actionable recommendations tailored to the individual and their working environment.

Empowering your employees and managers with the right knowledge is one of the most effective ways to prevent workplace injury and promote a culture of health and safety. COPE offers a comprehensive range of physiotherapy and ergonomics training, delivered by our in-house team:

  • Manual Handling Training — practical, engaging sessions covering safe manual handling techniques, delivered to groups of up to 15 delegates
  • Manual Handling Train The Trainer — equip your own internal trainers to deliver manual handling training across your organisation
  • DSE Assessor Train The Trainer — train your own DSE assessors to conduct workstation assessments in-house, ensuring ongoing compliance across your workforce
  • Postural Awareness Training — helping employees understand the importance of posture and how to make simple adjustments that reduce discomfort and injury risk
  • Champion Awareness Training — develop a network of health and wellbeing champions within your organisation, equipped to promote good ergonomic practice and support their colleagues

All training sessions can be delivered at your site and are tailored to your organisation's specific needs and working environment. Minimum delegate numbers apply for some courses — please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
