Sales Executive - Flexible working from our Nottingham office
Permanent, full time Monday - Friday (37.5 hours)
Up to £30k + OTE

Key focus of the role:
As a Sales Executive, you will report into our Head of Business Development and will play a central role in driving business growth by actively managing and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline. The role requires the ability to ask the right questions, interpret requirements, and propose appropriate solutions that align with both customer needs and COPE’s commercial objectives.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records within our CRM system (Salesforce), responding to inbound enquiries, and supporting tender submissions in collaboration with the Tender Team.
You may be required to travel throughout the UK for events and conferences as agreed
Main accountabilities:
Sales
- Respond to inbound customer enquiries via telephone, email and web platforms, ensuring timely, professional and commercially focused communication.
- Qualify customer requirements effectively, recognising that customers may not always have a clear understanding of their occupational health needs.
- Develop and present appropriate, data-led solutions that align with customer needs and maximise contract value.
- Prepare accurate and timely proposals tailored to individual client requirements.
- Conduct and attend web-based and face-to-face customer meetings and presentations, as required.
Tenders
- Review and assess tender opportunities, agreeing participation in conjunction with the Tender Team.
- Prepare and submit COPE’s responses in collaboration with the Tender Team, ensuring accuracy, quality and compliance with requirements
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records within the company CRM system (Salesforce), including customer interactions, opportunities, activities and follow-ups.
- Actively manage and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Ensure all relevant information is shared to support an effective and efficient new customer onboarding process, working collaboratively with Clinical, IT, Finance, HR and other internal teams as required.
Marketing Support
- Provide support to marketing activity by contributing content and materials in line with COPE’s brand guidelines.
- Assist with the delivery of digital marketing activity, including social media and email campaigns, as required.
General
- Comply with COPE’s policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Health & Safety, Data Protection, Customer Care and Quality standards.

You should have:
- Excellent IT skills
- Good written and spoken English and numeracy up to GCSE level or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience working within a similar role
- High level competency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage at a senior level with corporate customers
- Experience of Salesforce or other CRM systems
- Brilliant interpersonal skills with both internal colleagues and external customers/ potential
- Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to convert leads into new business sales
- Commercial awareness and negotiating skills
